Background and Affiliations:
Norwalk Hometown Pride had its kick-off meeting in January 2018. We are proud to be one of 7 communities that comprise Warren County Hometown Pride.
Hometown Pride is a state-wide program established in 2012 by Keep Iowa Beautiful, as a way to support and encourage local communities to improve the appearance of and pride in their hometowns and counties. The program offers the assistance of a professional “community coach” and other resources to help local residents enhance the cultural and economic vitality of their hometowns, paving the way for improvements to facilities and landscapes, as well as projects and events to promote a sense of community pride.
Participating cities and towns form a Hometown Pride team of local residents that works together to build a base of volunteers, accomplish projects that make a difference in their hometown, and boost the sense of community connection.
